Today's top 10 ranking is dedicated to the oldest people in the world who have lived more than 110 years. Many of them throughout their lives did not have bad habits, some, almost all their lives, smoked, or did not deny themselves alcohol. 10. Christian Mortensen | 115 years 252 days (1882-1998)
Christian Mortensen recognized as the oldest man - a long-liver to date, officially registered. The first 11 years of his life, born on August 16, 1882, the champion, lived in Denmark, then moved to the United States. The long-liver was married for only 10 years, and considered “Great cigars, friends, refusal of alcohol, singing and drinking high-quality water in large quantities” as the secret of longevity. 9. Maggie Pauline Barnes | 115 years 319 days (1882-1998)
Maggie Pauline Barnes, became the only one of the long-livers born in slavery (03/06/1882). Little is known about her life, but Barnes survived 11 of her 15 children. The long-lived woman passed away in 1998.
8. Bessie Cooper | 116 years 102 days (1896-2012)
American Bessie Cooper Born August 26, 1896, she was a teacher almost all her life, after she was widowed (then Bessie was 68 years old), she went to live on a farm, where she lived until she was 105 years old, after which she moved to a nursing home. Like all centenarians, Cooper had her own secret to longevity: “I don’t eat harmful products, and I’m not interested in other people's secrets.” Bessie Cooper died in 2012.
7. Elizabeth Bolden | 116 years 118 days (1890–2006)
Elizabeth Bolden Born 08/15/1890 in the US state of Tennessee in the family of liberated slaves. It is noteworthy that by the time she passed away she had more than 500 descendants and 75 great-great-grandchildren. By this time, only two of her seven children survived.
6. Tane Ikai | 116 years 175 days (1879-1995)
Japanese woman Tane Ikai recognized as the oldest representative of Asia. Tane was born on January 18, 1879, in the Japanese city of Kansei. Ikai's favorite pastimes were stucco and embroidery. 5. Maria Capovilla | 116 years 347 days (1889–2006)
Centenarian Maria Capovilla was born on September 14, 1889 in Ecuador, and later became the oldest of the representatives of South America. Maria was born in a wealthy military family. In the 99th year of his life, Capovilla suddenly fell ill, even doctors did not count on her recovery. However, she overcame the ailment, and having recovered she was able to walk on her own. All her life, a woman was distinguished by activity and had no addictions. By the time they passed away, the three children of Capovilla were over 80 years old.
4. Mailer Maria Louise | 117 years 230 days (1880–1998)

Mailer argued that longevity is the result of constant work, which she provided 2 marriages, as well as ten children. 2. Sarah Knauss | 119 years 97 days (1880-1999 gg.)

Born 02.21.1875 Jeanne Kalman was a contemporary of creating an internal combustion engine, the first flight of the Wright brothers, and many other significant events in the history of mankind. Jeanne regularly practiced cycling and smoked for up to a hundred years. She believed that the secret of longevity is extremely simple: "When problems cannot be solved, there is no need to worry." Kalman passed away in 1997.
Note that all people included in our rating had official confirmation of their own age. We intentionally did not include people like Shigetiyo Izumi, whose age, according to some estimates, is 120 years old, or Shirali Muslimov, an Azerbaijani shepherd who has reached 168 years of age, since there are no official documents confirming their age.
